Children & Youth Program Facilitator
Stephanie Robinson has been a member of St Andrew’s United Church since 2004. She is a single mother of a fifteen year old girl and has 3 cats that she adores. She also is a nanny for two small girls and loves being around kids.
She started working for the church in 2006, during the transition from the fire at W. Ross Mac Donald school. She received her NEOS certificate in 2014 from Five Oaks Center for her studies in Youth Ministry. She believes that God’s purpose for her is to guide children and youth to get a better understanding of their faith through fun activities and learning more of their bible.
Sunday mornings in Children’s Church, she does a rotational model of learning, taking a bible story and doing it for 4 weeks by teaching it in 4 different workshops like Music, Art & Crafts, Cooking, Science, Video clips and Drama/Storytelling. She also runs a mid-week youth group program where they do some faith teaching while learning social skills, cooking skills, and by volunteering for certain events around the city. She encourages the youth to bring their friends to explore and experience God’s world in a new way every day.
